"My hope is that one day my children can look back and see the legacy their father created in his life through his love and dedication to each of them through the gift of adoption.” -Heather Koby

Heather Koby started the Eric Koby Adoption Fund in memory of her husband Eric.
In 2015 together, they started building their family through adoption with the arrival of their first daughter, Julianna. Through this experience adoption became their destiny. Heather is now the mother to 3 beautiful children hailing from the diverse countries of Ethiopia and China, as well as Russia.
Heather’s life has changed dramatically since Eric passed away, moving away from her passion for teaching to undertake the enormous responsibility of taking over fatrabbit CREATIVE, the company Eric had built from the ground up since 2002. Heather took on this challenge and since her takeover in 2016, fatrabbit has continued to grow and thrive.
With the establishment of the Eric Koby Adoption Fund as a 501(c)(3) in 2017, Heather has made it her life’s mission to assist in the efforts of families to bring their children home.
“The label orphan should be non-existent. But in our world that is not possible, so we will work with one family at a time to do our part in removing that label from as many children across the globe for as long as we possibly can. It is an honor to be the Executive Director of this organization. My hope is that one day my children can look back and see the legacy their father created in his life through his love and dedication to each of them through the gift of adoption.”
